OUR RESPONSE TO COVID

As a response to the Covid pandemic we have made several permanent changes at the St Paul Children's Clinic. We have long desired to keep healthy kids coming in for their Well Checks separated from ill patients. Now because of the pandemic we have a new Sick Entrance and hallway, so that all of our patients and parents can rest assured that when they come for their Well Child visits they will not be in contact with sick patients.

If you have not been in the St. Paul Dental Clinic lately, you will see wonderful new plexiglass walls separating each treatment room to give each patient a little extra privacy and protection.

Serving in Our Community

We provide medical screenings for all enrolled in the Head Start program for the Tyler Independent School District as well as numerous other school districts in within Region 7.

We are a participant in the Reach Out and Read program, a national early childhood literacy program that makes early literacy a standard part of pediatric primary care. We give out books to children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years and advise parents that reading aloud to their children is vital to them learning to love reading and starting school ready to learn.

We conduct the Healthy Kids - Healthy Families program at our Andrews Park facility during the summer, providing nutritional education to children and their families to help fight obesity. This program is funded by a grant from the American Academy of Pediatrics Community Access to Child Health Implementation Fund.

Local colleges and universities work alongside St. Paul with many nurses, nurse practitioners and medical assistants rotating through the clinic for practical, hands-on training. We also work with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler in providing a pediatric rotation for their Family Medical Residents in our clinic.

St Paul Children's Clinic uses Christus Mother Francis Hospital for our children who need admission, and it is this same system that provides 24/7 after hours coverage for our patients. All you have to do is dial the same number you have always called to reach us: 903-531-9455, and you will reach the well trained staff of nurses with CTMFH and the rotating group of pediatricians which includes Dr. Price, who can help you and your child when our office is closed.

When appropriate we hope to prevent an ER visit with long wait times, large bills, and more germs than one that you arrived with!

Our Medical Team is Here to Serve You!
